The Jawaby office in London was set up by the National Oil Corporation in 1983 to take over certain functions that had been performed by the home offices of the original foreign-owned oil companies and consortia. The Company also provides additional external services, appropriate to the changing role of the oil industry in relation to Libyan national life.
